“God Hates You, Hate Him Back!” Says Controversial Author in A New Book That Pokes Fun At The Holy Scriptures
With people like Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens leading the way, more and more books discrediting the idea that a single sentient being created everything around us are being devoured by atheists tired of being labeled as un-godly and silenced legally, socially and culturally by the prevalent creationist systems lying behind the world’s most powerful (and arguably most violent) governments.
The problem with all these books, as the author sees it, is these books are brilliant if you have mind for science, and/or a genuine interest in theology, but for a majority of people they are cumbersome to read. While making them popular with the intellectual elite, they are for your average literary hobbyist, complex, and far from entertaining.
CJ Werleman, Australian-born author of “God Hates You, Hate Him Back” says, “I believe people learn more when they find reading a pleasure, and with an entire genre of anti-religious texts sprouting up all over the place, I hadn’t come across any title that just laid out the entire Bible in a manner that for me was pleasurable. And the scriptures of the Bible are wonderful stories that are just begging to be told with a giggle.”
CJ, who witnessed first-hand the religiously motivated terrorist atrocities in Bali in 2005, continues, “The objective of the book is to provide the reader with a thorough understanding of the Bible, from end-to-end, while also demonstrating that the ‘God’ people worship so readily and unquestioningly is a vengeful bully, with a monopoly on evil. Which I guess is primarily why the Devil had no reason to publish his own book.”
CJ hopes that his approach of using the source of the creationists’ belief-system to make a compelling argument against worshipping such a malevolent patriarch can bridge the gap between superstitious belief and rational understanding by at least shaking believers out of their hypnotized state of relying on “faith over logic”.
Many critics of atheism claim that the fanatical fervor displayed by Dawkins and his ilk, betrays their cause. Similarly CJ believes labeling believers as infantile or moronic is counter-productive in leading religious folk to rationality, and ultimately secularism.
“The best device we have for secularism or atheism is the Bible itself. When you have all the Biblical assertions laid out in front of you, it is almost impossible to continue holding onto the beliefs created by a tribe of nomadic goat herders, who believed the shovel to be emergent technology!”
CJ adds, “Essentially this book demystifies The Bible by using plain speak and humor. I show the reader what it is that pleases God invariably baby killing, and ethnic cleansing. While also demonstrating that not only was Jesus an overtly racist false prophet, and not very nice to his mother, his biography was crudely hammered together by people who never met him.”
When asked what he hoped to achieve with his book, CJ quipped, “I hope my book provides one small stepping stone on humanity’s journey away from ancient beliefs that retard social progress and promote human conflict rather than solidarity.”

NOTES FOR EDITORS/JOURNALISTS
SYNOPSIS
God Hates You, Hate Him Back makes the ultimate case for the claim that the God of the Bible is the most wicked character in the pages of history. With a wit as dry as a martini, and the cross examination techniques of a seasoned lawyer, CJ Werleman lays out all sixty-six chapters of the Bible to present an irrefutable argument that indeed God hates us all.
If you have never read or never fully understood The Bible then you will do no better than this unique, comedic, 21st century summary of the greatest story ever sold, or in Werleman’s own words ‘never read’.
God Hates You, Hate Him Back provides you with an arsenal of Biblical facts, stories, mythology and assertions to ensure you victory in your next religious debate.
Arguably the most unique, certainly most entertaining, rendition of the Bible ever told!

THE AUTHOR
In 2005 CJ Werleman experienced, first-hand, the appalling religiously motivated terrorist attacks on Bali. This further motivated him to warn his fellow humans of the
perils of religious faith over common sense. He is a contributing columnist to the Bangkok Post and has been published in Inside Business Success. This is his first published book. Follow him at www.twitter.com/rationalists

I want to get this book! I’ll just have to sneak it past my rents.
-
Good luck getting religious people to read a book with that title!
-
where can i buy the book?
-
I will try and get famous and sell your book to the masses
-
Pipe down about Dawkins. He says “the ‘God’ people worship so readily and unquestioningly is a vengeful bully, with a monopoly on evil” in a far more eloquent manner.
Yo say:
CJ believes labeling believers as infantile or moronic is counter-productive in leading religious folk to rationality, and ultimately secularism.
And then in the next paragraph say:
It is impossible to continue holding onto the beliefs created by a tribe of nomadic goat herders, who believed the shovel to be emergent technology!
Sounds like you are calling them morons to me.
-
Guaranteed to bring religious types, and especially Christians, into further denial (sigh).
-
Despite gains being made, atheists and free-thinkers are still as subject to discrimination and prejudice as gays and black were decades ago.
The religious reich will never give up their stranglehold on society as long as it’s profitable to keep it. The first step in ending this is to remove the tax exemptions from all religions. This is a clear violation of the separation of church and state.
Non-believers are forced to support religions by carrying what should be their share of an increasing tax burden. For that matter, those of one faith are being forced to subsidize other faiths in the same manner. Catholics pay for Jews, Jews for Muslims, and Muslims for Christians and Jews.
One would think that they would realize this and demand a stop to it. But clear thinking and simple facts have never been the province of any religion.
-
As a librarian, I believe that all books are worth a look. As a skeptical optimist, I think we all have to seek our own truths. I followed the first bits about this book with a bit of enthusiasm…until I got to the line….”If you have never read or never fully understood The Bible because of it’s lifeless 16th century King’s English….” That completely ended any optimism I had for this work. “Lifeless King’s English”??? Are you kidding, or just ignorant of the beauty crafted into the language in that document…not as a religious work, but simply as a work of literature? There was a writer from the same era….uh….Shakespeare?? Ever heard of him?? Ever READ anything he wrote?? Oh…sorry….not enough life there for you.
It is SUCH a shame with ignorant statements such as this one overshadow what might have been a really valuable statement about a book.

How fun — I can’t wait! I hope it’s on audio as well…

Our very existence depends on the waking of the human race to this type of information ,I just can’t seem to see us making it as a society moving away from religion in time, before we destroy ourselves and our mother earth. I woke up around 40 something, raised in a fundamentalist christian church as a child and growing up with all that useless guilt and being beaten by an alcoholic father who insisted we all go to church every Sunday. I was so sad watching the devastation of the Tsunami days after Christmas a few years back I was sickened. My whole family thought I was going and am still in a midlife crisis. I won’t celebrate any holidays except Halloween which I don’t consider soiled by religion. God is indifferent to us if not downright hostile.
-
Looks like fun, will be keeping an eye out for this but it almost certainly won’t be released in this backward church controlled country (Philippines) I’ll have to get in on amazon or something I suppose
-
Gotta love all these atheist books designed specifically to combat christianity and the likes, rather than trying to prove overall why the idea of a god(not christian god, not hindu god, norse, etc) can’t be. =\
You can’t disprove a god. You can only disprove religious stories. You can’t prove there is a god, either.
Makes me think that atheistic books are nothing more than a cry for attention, rather than an explanation behind their idea..or lack thereof?
-
I hope I can track down this book somewhere because it looks like a whole lot of fun. I mean, I highly doubt that anyone else in my family will be all that excited to give it a read, but I think I’ll enjoy it none the less.
-
there are more atheists now that ever before. i see that as a positive sign that humans are waking up to some degree.
atheists need to continue to speak out and offer their alternatives to the mindless beliefs that have hampered man’s evolution for so long.
the people that created these silly superstitions believed that the earth was flat and if you went too far you would fall off the edge of the world into a pit of demons. how could they possibly have had any idea how the universe was formed?
religious people won’t read this book, but the atheists that do will very likely find some useful points to help those who are ready to see the truth.
thank you for making this work available!ww

To James Smith, do you actually think that atheists are as persecuted as gays and blacks decades ago? At the mention of being atheist, are you kicked out of public places, not allowed to mingle with believers? Are you beaten, raped or killed for your lack of belief? Are your children taken off you to be raised by a Christian or Catholic? Atheists have it easy now compared to blacks and gays decades ago, maybe you should think about it before you complain.
As for the book, it sounds interesting, although I agree with G, there’s no way you’re getting any religious people to read it with a name like that. -

Chicken Little- no, they are not banned from public places. Yes, they are beaten, raped, and killed for lack of a belief. Check out the recent news of the parents that lost their adopted children- taken by the state- because the judge of the state declared that as atheists, they were subjecting their children to spiritual abuse. Or check out the laws in many states where atheists aren’t allowed to run for office. Yeah, I’d say this is some pretty harsh discrimination. Though it is getting better.

” Hail all minions of Satan,
Googling the most extreme stuff, I just came across this gripping Satanic blog – http://thesixthgospel.blogspot.com/ The guy behind it is an internet marketing guru, a self-made millionaire profiting from his own brand of Satanism, selling it as a Serious Entertainment franchise. He´s the dubbed Czech Hollywood Warrior Priest. I´ve never seen and read anything like that, he rules, his books really stand out. They intrigue and freak out. I´m nobody but endorse it. “

the book is funny i read the first chapter – needs more pictures though.
im buying it for the picture of the author on the back – what a handsome man cougar!

@librarian
Are you comparing the lyrical talent of Shakespeare with the stale, fetid crud found in the KJ Bible? bleh!
-
Yeah, Dawkins isn’t too fun to read sometimes, but learning doesn’t always have to be YOUR kind of fun. Sometimes you want the science and theology behind why an all knowing infinite in all ways entity couldn’t really exist, sometimes you want to use their proof against them.
I’ll probably read this though
-
LOVE the title!
